POPIA Policy

Our commitments under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013. Template document — please review with legal counsel.

AdAi Central processes personal information in line with the eight conditions for lawful processing set out in POPIA: accountability, processing limitation, purpose specification, further processing limitation, information quality, openness, security safeguards, and data subject participation.

Lawful basis

We process personal information based on consent, contract performance, legal obligation or our legitimate interests in operating an advertising business — balanced against your privacy rights.

Community campaign data

When we collect data during township activations we obtain informed consent, minimise what we collect, and never share individual-level personal information with sponsors without explicit permission.

Security safeguards

We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and routine reviews of who can see what.

Cross-border transfers

Some of our processors are based outside South Africa. We rely on lawful transfer mechanisms and contractual protections.
